For those who work in ministry, you often know how hard it is to see results, and how easy it can be to grow discouraged. Any internet-based work is especially hard to bear visible fruit. Thankfully, I received a message the other night proving the work God has done through me.
Dealing with Your Baggage
I have been living out of my suitcase for the past month or so.
Pick Up Lines for Camp
Okay, so the title might be slightly misleading, but instead of pick up lines, we are looking at things we can pick up from summer camps. Let’s go.
5 Things We Can Learn From The World Cup
The entire globe has been obsessed with the World Cup, so I decided to look at a few things we can take away from it. Here are 5 things we can learn from the FIFA games.
George Camp North Carolina [Video]
We just finished our first official George Camp of the summer! It was North Carolina’s first camp, and we are excited about the possibilities it holds for us in the future. The kids loved it, and it served as a great run-through for us to prepare for our other camps in Fayetteville, Georgia and Miami, Florida. If you live in either of those areas, please come by and see us! Georgia residents can sign up here, and our Miami friends can sign up for Kidz Camp on the same week that we lead.
Interested in how our week looked? Here is a brief video with just a few pictures that capture the energy and fun within the camp!
Bibles on Bibles on Bibles
I am currently working on a long post about my recent trip to Nicaragua, but I wanted to post something as soon as possible! Continue reading
Core Value Questions
I recently found some notes I had taken a few years ago about some of Vision 2 Hear‘s core values. They consisted of revelations and questions that could help apply such things to our lives.
Today, I will reiterate those to you along with some of my own thoughts.
Keep Making Me [video]
My mum is always requesting songs, but I hardly get around to doing less than half of them. I’ve spent some time filming, so here is Keep Making Me by the Sidewalk Prophets!
CS Lewis once said “To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.”
It’s so true! We complain about heartache, but pain is better than a hard heart. We are clay in the hands of our Father, and sometimes that clay needs to be smashed in order to be rebuilt. I do not want to be lonely, empty, or broken, but if it is necessary for the will of God and my walk with Him, so be it. The Lord makes beautiful things out of us, and He is still making me.
Unplugged
I graduated this month as the Salutatorian for my class. In the video, I joke about my status, discuss leaving a legacy, and thank God for beating the odds.
