Brother by Needtobreathe in Sign Language

BRO

I’ve been slacking on my Youtube channel lately, but I have finally released a new video! The song has been stuck in my head since it came out, and I knew I had to give in  and film it.

Instead of writing a devotional for the song, I am going to give you a breakdown of the signs I used:

Walkers in the desert we can’t find what we need
Made restless because of the searching
We are made tired
Like a monster chasing me, I abandon my own plans
We all need people next to us shining like a light for all to see

Brother let me be your shelter
You will never be alone
You can call on me
When you’re depressed
Brother let me be your fortress
When the night winds continue
The way can be lit,
Bring you home.

Face down in the desert, my heart is in captivity
I lost my keys when I failed
Now I don’t know where they are
I can never rival, overcome the world no
I know through weakness I am strong, but
It’s Your love that gives me home

And when you call and need me here
Questioning,  where’d you go?
Brother I’m right here
And on the day when the sky begins to break
You’re the blood of my blood
We can continue no matter what

We can be each other’s shelter
He will never leave you  alone
He can call us
When we feel depressed
We can be each other’s fortress
When the night winds are continuing
He can light the way
Give us home
He is light
That guides us home.

Pay close attention to the last chorus. I change it up because even though Christians must support each other as brothers and sisters in Christ, no one can compare to the shelter of God. The Lord will always provide, and He will always light the way home.

  2. Hi Trevor.

I was re-reading your August post. Did you know my favorite missions story is David and Goliath? Yes, I said missions. Most people are dumbfounded when they hear that. After all, the story is in the Old Testament. And yet, David tells us that the very reason he was fighting Goliath (taking a stand against a known evil) was ‘so that the whole world would know that there is a God on Israel.’ That was on God’s heart then, and its on God’s heart now. He wants people to know Him.

I just wanted to say thank you for your songs in sign language. It blesses me to know that you are not afraid to use your talents for the Lord. Even if you haven’t slain any giants, God will use you. You see, He doesn’t want our ability, He wants our availability. That’s part of what obedience is about.

    God bless. Ms. GG
